iPod

I was just thinking the other day how successful the iPod was, and indeed still is. Its design is celebrated throughout the world, and by many of the leading designers that are alive today. It completely revolutionized the digital music player market, as I remember that before iPods first came on sale in stores, back in 2001, all the small music players on the market were either big, clunky and useless or small, fiddly and just as useless.

I’m a proud owner of a 32 gigabyte iPod touch and I am proud to say that as a product I am extremely pleased with it, as it has always worked perfectly ever since I bought it – admittedly not that long ago as it has only recently come on the market. Apple controls an epic proportion of an ever growing multi million pound industry, and they have been an extremely clever company with excellent leaders who frankly have made some pretty good decisions over the years.

So, next time you’re listening to your iPod as I’m sure you have one, take a second to marvel at the groundbreaking technology that went into fitting so many thousands of songs into your pocket in such a beautiful way.

Google Docs

Google is famous, as everyone knows, for being an excellent search engine. However, they have also released some other products which not many people know about, and which can actually be extremely useful. One of these is Google Docs.

Microsoft Office is great, and indeed it comes with loads and loads of features. Great, but the price? A couple of hundred dollars. The features? How many do you actually use? These are two problems where Google, the knight in shining armor, comes to your rescue. They offer spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint) and document (Microsoft Word) applications. The price? Zero dollars, zero cents. The features? Only the one’s you need on a regular basis.

In fact, Google even have some killer features that you won’t even find on your extremely expensive edition of MS Office, for example the new gadgets feature of the Spreadsheets app, which let you display your data in really cool ways such as maps and gauges, at the click of the button. And the document app lets you see how “readable” your text is with scores from various readability tests. I’ve been using these for quite a while. My verdict? Hooray for Google, that’s what I say!

Choose Organic Cosmetic for a healthier future

The world is full of pollutant, traffic jam, smoke come from unmaintenance cars, etcetera are just small part of pollution factors in this world. Pollution has a bad influence to our health, it causes eyes to irritate, it bad to our lung and heart, even to our skin.

There’s a way to protect our skin from being attacked by pollutant, which is to use a natural skin care a non chemical cosmetic (called also as organic cosmetics). There are lots of cosmetics product that put the ‘organic label’ on it, but you must be selective because some also contains inorganic, chemical and minerals. Free Music

iTunes is great – a really simple to use program that produces excellent result. Their iTunes store, as well, is revolutionary, with an unprecedented amount of music material available for download at a relatively cheap price. But that’s just it: a relatively cheap price. A dollar might seem like a small sum to pay, but it soon adds up. I’m in the UK, and we’re ripped off: we get charged the equivalent of $1.60 for each song.

A new workaround that Apple are pondering, as ever more revenue is lost in the abyss of programs such as Lime Wire, Kazaa and Bear Share, is to have free music. Free music, that is, at a price. Under Apple’s proposed system, consumers would pay more – perhaps a hundred dollars or so – at the point of purchasing the iPod, and would then never have to pay a penny more for downloading songs. This money would supposedly be split evenly with the record labels and music producers that allow Apple to download their songs on the iTunes store. With many people’s music collections spanning thousands of songs, under this system it won’t be long before many people surpass the $100 and get a good deal. Let’s just hope this goes ahead!

Heading New Zealand and Australia in this next vacation

My friend once suggested me to go to Australia or New Zealand on the next vacation, wow something that I have never considered before, because all my travel orientation was to go to West instead of South. Curious on what’s New Zealand or Australia offers on vacation, I checked out some sites about New Zealand, tourist attractions and some New Zealand Hotels.

In my next surfing, I also found that Wellington, as New Zealand’s capital offers various tourist attractions, perfect combination of rolling hills and harbour, there are so much galleries, dining areas, scenic lookout, museums, also a lot of Hotels in Wellington give travelers a lot of discounts so there is money saving for accommodations.

City of Sails, Auckland usually is the next traveler’s destination, they come here for enticing beaches and great summers, Hotels in Auckland also are different attractions from this city, various affordable or cozy ones are available for tourists. Just about how deep is their pockets.

Hotels in Christchurch also are widely available for travelers that want to continue their traveling scenery, forest, vineyards and Island is another intriguing place from this Botanical City.

Which one to go first? I guess I have to ask my wife first!

Social Networking

Ever feel completely overwhelmed by social networking sites? Both the sheer volume of ones that are available, plus ones that seem to commandeer your entire inbox too quickly without you realizing it.

I fully admit it – I used to be a Facebook addict: going online every day and checking the latest status updates to see what my friends had been up to recently. Then, with Facebook deciding to launch their Facebook Applications Platform, I was even more excited as more and more options and possibilities opened up as to how I could keep in touch with my friends and what I could do with them online.

Then the landslide began – I was invited to join other social networks, some even claiming I could make money from them. Then, just on Facebook alone, I was receiving thousands of invites to join applications I absolutely had no desire to join and had in face already rejected.

So, now, I am not a member of a single social networking site and all such sites are banned from sending my emails into my inbox – everything gets automatically moved to the trash can as spam. Please, let me know your thoughts on the subject.
